Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of obtaining a transfer image having good image quality by preventing the voltage between a separating/electrifying means and the conductor of a transfer material carrier from being affected by the on/off of the voltage applied to the conductor to transfer the toner image on the image carrier, and preventing the scattering of the toner image when a transfer material is separated from the surface of the transfer carrier. SOLUTION: The first voltage is applied to the conductor of a transfer carrier 2 carrying a transfer material, and the toner image on an image carrier 1 is transferred to the transfer material. The transfer material is separated from the transfer material carrier 2 by a separating/electrifying means 3. The second power source P 1 applying the second voltage between the conductor of the transfer material carrier 2 and the separating/electrifying means 3 is provided, and the output side of the first power source P 2 applying the first voltage to the conductor of the transfer material carrier 2 is connected to the input side of the second power source P 1 .
